George Kontaroudis, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, CPHD

George Kontaroudis is an Architect practicing in New York. He graduated from the Bartlett School of Architecture at University College London and since then has worked in Greece, the Middle East and the United States.
   
George earned his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Lincoln in the UK where he discovered his passion for sustainability and won the second prize at a Commonwealth wide student competition for sustainable development and innovative building technology, awarded by the Eric Lyons Memorial Fund.
   
His design is anthropocentric as he seeks to create spaces that are comfortable, healthy, and environmentally conscious while at the same time evoking design sensibility in his buildings and interiors.
   
He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for New York Passivehouse as well as the Greek Institute of Architects in New York, and teaches at the New School in New York. He is licensed to practice in New York and Greece, is a LEED Accredited Professional  a Certified Passivehouse Designer and a trained  Climate Reality Leader.
