I was invited to deliver the Climate Mobilization Act and the Passive House Primers at the real Estate Board of New York in collaboration with the Building Energy Exchange.
Although this has been a presentation I delivered multiple times, this was the first time that it was offered live and as a combination.
Passive House Discussion with Compass

I was honored to have a discussion with Ian Slater from Compass on what makes a building Passive House and what the advantages are. Many were surprised that while the building is right on East Houston St, the space inside was absolutely quiet, comfortable and serene.
Carbon Newbie Summit

Clever Carbon organized the Carbon Newbie Summit. This was a whole day symposium held during NYC Climate Week 2023, where professionals from a vast array of disciplines that work in decarbonization presented their work. I was asked to provide a 5 minute explainer on what Passive House is and how beneficial it can be to decarbonization. The presentation video is available below.

This hour-long and presentation and discussion focused on making a case to future real estate professionals that Passive House is the most valuable proposition. The presentation started on what an ideal building is, moved on to explaining what Passive House is and debunking its most common misconceptions, to discussing the legislative landscape and wrapping up with future research on embodied carbon. “GIANY 20x20 Share the Stage” was a series of intimate and fun events in New York, where GIANY invited the members of their ever-growing community to share their work through 20 slides x 20 seconds each. Goal of these event series is to get to know the GIANY members and enable them to share their interests and creative work with the GIANY community and the public.
I served as moderator on the February 20 event.
